You won't be able to just sand and paint the Abs cement. When it dries it leaves pinholes where the acetone evaporates. You will need to sand the Abs cement a little low, then spot putty or plastic filler very lightly over the top. Then it is sand , paint, sand, paint, etc.

Just get me a picture of the end of the ribbon cable next to a mm ruler and I will get you the extension cable information.

FFC plugs. Once he knows the pin arrangement and spacing he can get plugs and a cable and use his standard put-both-ribbons-into-one-connector=connected to make an extension virtually.

btw, i dont know if you've seen this, but you might be able to derive a knight rider circuit from it:

Here's what you need. From http://www.digikey.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For the small brown ribbon cable :
WM10219-ND -- 6" 24 pin .5mm ffc extension
609-1875-1-ND -- 24 pin .5mm ffc zif connector

For the white ribbon cable :
HF12U-06-ND -- 6" 12 pin 1.0mm ffc extension
WM5304-ND -- 12 pin 1.0mm ffc zif connector

That should do you just fine. Gonna cost around $20 shipped.

Just follow my Gamecube or Ps1 extension guide when you get the extensions and go to put them together :)

whats wrong with the ones you have to make?? they sound like fun to me, and besides, ur portablizing a ps2, whats wrong with cobbling together a few parts here and there?? it would probably be cheaper than buying one premade...

*Note: do not get any cats....they are evil....
:lol: I second that! Sometimes they are sweet, but if you are like me and get unlucky.....you have to deal with little devils running around trying to kill your portable.
