Questions about the RES

Post by Mcdoodle »

Im starting my first project and using the RES.
Whats a good battery for the RES? Would this battery be good for it?
I was thinking of using a 7805 regulator with it so it can get the 5 volts that it needs.

I was also looking at the diagram to wire the boards together and I sorta understand. Here's the diagram.
So it basically makes the chips closer, right? I dont understand about the 5VDC part in the controller board and dont understand about the pin 1 or 11 part in the power/reset button.

And how would you add a second port?

Thanks,
Mcdoodle :P

That battery would be fine. ( There is one that is 3300 mah which is better though )
And the point of that guide is to eliminate the power board and the controller board.
If you want a second controller port, I recommend keeping the controller board (not that it takes that much room)

Oh, and 5VDC is 5 volts direct current.
And pins 11 and 1 are both ground.
