playstation broken...?

Post by b_ski30 »

Well, i finally got into the portabilization scene for real, but as soon as i started i have to stop, i tried to put 7.5 volts from the psone adapter straight to the 7.5 volt input on my old model psx and now it wont turn on correctly, the video comes in all screwed up and once in awhile I hear a little sound.

Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Why did u use 7.5 volts. Im pretty sure that the PSX uses more (9 maybe?). Did you get the adapter with the PSX? U should get a PSX adapter, and all of your dreams will come true

I'm pretty sure the larger PSX uses 8 volts. There is a pinout laying around somewhere, if you want to take a look around :)

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

If I remember right the larger one requires 8V and 3.5V.
