Wifi adapter

Post by Tallon »

Official Xbox360 wireless adapter
Anyone who uses this can you tell me if it's supposed to light up when you plug it in?
No matter where I plug it in I get no light or connection

This is for people who buy something off amazon just because it's $15 cheaper and it says "NEW"
...Don't crack it open before testing to see if it works :\
didn't test because I had no usb ports but oh well $63 wasted

2.8" laptop with 17"ws, keyboard and mouse/playstation compatible in games, temp sensors, 6 more usb ports
What I need: a second wifi adapter, case 70% done

Sorry, I keep forgetting this isn't for just X360 >_<

I'm not getting any light at all on power up
xbox360 isn't detecting it and I have a usb hub that would light up if a usb device was plugged into a port - and that port doesn't light up.
what could have happened to the little circuit board to cause it to not work at all

gah I'd hate to have to buy another they're so expensive

all i can suggest is that you try it in different usb ports, if it dosent wok, check where the connection to the cable is on the board for the usb, see if any have come loose, very unlikely tho, my guess is its fried, you will probably have to go buy another one

Most wireless adapters will not work with the XBOX 360, as they are not plug and play compatible, and there is no way to install the drivers on the system. I know there is a way to convert either a Linksys Wireless Bridge or a Linksys Wireless Router to a firmware with plug and play compatibility that will work with a 360, but I can't remember where I saw this.

I thought he meant it wasn't official.

In that case, something is wrong with it. Don't try plugging the Adapter into a HUB, test it directly into the USB port on the back of your XBOX first.
