I don't know if it's more efficent, but if you look up picoPSU and atx to xbox converter, you will find that it is MUCH smaller than their solution.

I read some of those comments and laughed. Especiall the one freaking out at the other guy because he thought the motherboard was cut down. He was all "are you freaking nuts? Cutting down a motherboard is way too crazy for any human being to do and resolder all the traces and junk".
