Even after everything I've shown you, you guys still don't have any faith in me, do you?

Wow, that really makes me want to finish up my super tiny cube 64 pcb. I got it transferred to the copper clad board, and I bought the etchant, but I found out I didn't have a drill bit small enough to make the holes
Will this be single sided then?

Are you kidding?!? This is absolutely phenomenal!
I really admire the work you're putting into this. It looks excellent so far!
Also, don't forget about reversing the T64 vias:

You made an n64 board?stuntpenguin007 wrote:Wow, that really makes me want to finish up my super tiny cube 64 pcb. I got it transferred to the copper clad board, and I bought the etchant, but I found out I didn't have a drill bit small enough to make the holes

Nope, It'll be double sided.
I already did, it's just not pictured.Mario wrote:don't forget about reversing the T64 vias
Edit: I received my stuff from DigiKey today. If I have time, I'll test the oscillators tomorrow. They're freaking tiny!!!! I knew they were small but, dang!

No, its nothing close to what your doing. Just something to let you use a gamecube controller on an n64. http://cia.vc/stats/project/navi-misc/cube64" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ok, I had a chance to test the oscillators today on my working 64 and......well.........THEY WORKED!!!! And look at how much smaller they are compared to one of the regular crystals:marshallh wrote:The MX8330 clockgen chips need a quartz crystal

EDIT: Tested running the 64 strictly on batteries with the 3.3v regulator, 5v step-up, oscillators and expansion pack and it works just fine. One thing I did notice, though, that I don't like so much is that the regulator ic gets quite warm. warmer than RCP or RDRAM without heatsinks. Since I didn't use any power to the 12v line, I didn't have any sound, but that was expected.

I'm excited to see this thing when its done.

I received the 1Mbit FRAM chips today and they're pretty darn small also. I'll be testing one in a modified memory card with no backup battery. Here's a pic next to a 256Kbit SRAM.

What method are you using for you PCB?

I'm going to be photo etching the board after I print out some transparencies. I turned a small flatbed scanner into a photo etching machine. It works pretty well and I can get some really good detail on my boards with it.chainfire95 wrote:What method are you using for you PCB?

Might I suggest this method?

Oh, I thought you meant how I was going to transfer the circuit image to the board. I use ferric chloride on occasion, but I prefer sodium persulfate. Although, this certainly seems like a quick way to get the board etched! Never thought about using a sponge. I may give this a try since leaving the board in a small tub usually takes a long time.chainfire95 wrote:Might I suggest this method?
