Yep, those batteries are awesome. I got one from the same place- it powers my SNESp for about 5 hours. Good luck with your project.
If all else fails, take it apart!

That's an amazing deal. I was going to just use the Ni-CD batteries for my Sony Hi8 camcorder because it already acts as a charger, but it sounds like I can get the charger alone for realy cheap.

I just ordered a non-OEM NP-960 for a whopping $36. I also bought a charger that comes with a car adapter as well, but I completely forgot to look at shipping. It was $3, but $11 for shipping. Check your shipping!

How big and heavy are these batteries?

5600mAh sounds pretty nice, if they're light.

It is kind of bulky, but with this kind of power...
it is like 2 of the NP-F550's stacked on top of each other.

The NP-F960 is a little big, yes, but it has so much POWER! It should run the portable for about 3 hours! I myself would rather have my PSP a little heavier (maybe 3/4 of a pound heavier) with this Mega-Powered battery than gettin only 1 to 1.5 hours on a smaller battery. Thats just me though...

The NP-F960 is about 2.5 inches in depth, so yes it will stick out a little, and it is about 2 times as heavy as a standard NP-F550 (the smallest battery you could use for this project). it is your choice on whether you want Power, or you want compactness (is that even a word?). You decide.

*cough cough NP-F960 cough*
