Use duct tape for now but when you get a chance go and buy some electrical tape. Also congradulations on learing how to solder.

Great... just great...The controller doesnt work now. The lights work fine but the controller doesnt. It all happened after i taped everything. I untaped most of it, but I cant find the problem
Well double check the connections, and be sure the two data wires are set up as you obviously have the power(red) and ground(brown/black) connected.

Oh man... I was trying to re-solder a one of the lights wires because it got ripped off the first time i tried taping it, and now the controller doesnt work anymore. I cut all the wires off from the light, still no luck. I hope this motherboard isnt messed up as well.
Well I think thats another dead controller. Somehow, a test LED i hooked up to it goes on, and all the wires are soldered properly (I triple checked) but the controller doesnt work. I think I give up for tonight.
So, all I have now is 2 broken X-Box controllers, except for that they can use the X-Box's power, maybe that's useful. Either way, I'll look at the tutorials at xbox-scene and see what I want to do next. If anyone cares anyway, I plan on (hopefully) in a couple months making an Psp. If anyone has any tips and such, it would be real useful.
Thanks,
