Well if the battery is still good tell us how it works, and with the battery thing you should look into adding a charger in with the final prodect as it will be easier then bulding an external one.

I was thinking of a docking station. And as for the battery its a nicad so you can "revive" it by zapping it with 110% of its voltage.
