Hey guys, I am building a 360 laptop and in his tutorial, ben adds 3 extra fans, he says that he gave power to the fans by tying the positive and negative wires together and attaching those to the stock 360 fan power supply, how does he do this?
Any help is appreciated!

You see on your 360 where the power wires go to the fan? That's the power you need for your fans, I believe. Just solder a wire to each positive and negative at that point, hook to fans, and you should be good. Just don't use too many fans.

Adding extra fans may increase the voltage requirements but if its not a problem, so here are the following steps,
1.Take the RED and the BROWN wires shows below, and cut them off at the top of the plug, so you have the most wire left. Leave the BLACK and BLUE wires, as they're just grounds.
2.Twist, then solder the RED and BROWN wires together, then solder a third wire to that, about 5" long. Solder the OTHER end of the third wire to the pin shown below, either on the bottom of the motherboard, or onto the wire that does to the DVD drive. So now you con run one or two fans at a time.

If you wire them in parallel to the current fans, which is all you CAN do, you will not increase any voltage requirements, but current requirements. Get it right.

go to a modding website
they sell everything you need theres a chip , you can add 10 more fans if you wanted to but it draws more power and need a powersupply .
i'm going to buy it and luckily i live in kuwait , where 110 volts things needs step up and down converter they gave my ntsc xbox 360 a 600 watt powersupply
so i can power it with out frying the motherboard
anyway go to this site for the parts

Re: How to add extra fans to a xbox 360?
i managed this by using the stock connector
and by adding a 3 pin fan header to the motherboard itself

(i didnt drill any hole like they tell you to)
oh yeah i also did this mod on another 360
