Thinking of buying this book

Post by cjs »

I just have a few questions

1. is it hard to follow what the book is tell you?

2. Would i be able to start working on my portable as soon as I get the section in the book?

3. Would a complete newb be able to get this stuff?

4. would it be a good idea to start with a NES/SNES?

the book is an incredible compilation of information. its definently worth getting. and a noob could easily follow and build a portable, assuming you have the parts and can solder. :)

The book is excellent for a newb but if you know a lot about electronics and console modding it gets dropped to the level of interesting and informative read.

I doubt you care but I am selling my copy of the book on eBay with the NES hand built kit you can buy from ben

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MESELX:IT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It is only at 99p at the moment :D

The book is really helpful but I never found the time to complete the project

I bought the book knowing nothing about electronics except that everything seemed to a + and - on it. It was the best money I spent towards modding and coulding recommend it more. I got it off amazon.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

The last post had been 3 months ago, so I think he's probably either found one or decided not to buy one. Also, you have a thread that lists your auction - you probably don't need to be posting the link in other threads as well.
