Ideas for things to do...

Post by Vedran »

Anyone have any ideas for anything simple for me to make/do. Although i have only made a on/off switch turn on an LED, (with the help of a "guest") I really don't know what to make.
Thanks,

hmm, n64 isnt too hard of a portable, it would be a good first when your ready. do you have an xbox by chance? cause if you do, doing controller mods on that is a good way to get practice.

Oh my god, thats a great idea, since my controllers are both broken (the cord that goes into the xbox is weak) but I still have my wireless. What do you think that i could change on the controller? What do you mean by mod?
Thanks,
-Vedran

bsically modifying it to make it cooler, such as putting in lights or something.

Alright, I wonder if I could add a fan, that would be cool. I think i'll take it apart right now and just look at it.

a fan for the player? If you mean for the stuff inside the controller, that's probably not necessary. you should be able to get 5v pretty easily since the controllers are USB electrically, and USB gives off 5 volts :)

Besure to get that one nunder the sticker, some people dont get that one.

Also for any ideas on projects go to xbox-scene.com and look under tourtorials and hardware.

Most def. Thats were I learned everything about the xbox modding. Plus, the controller mods are great for practice (soldering, learning, w/e).

I had an idea last night when I took apart the controller. How's this: I drill 5 holes into the underside of that big xbox logo in the middle, and these holes are in an X shape. Then I put one red LED in each hole. Forming like a red X in the center of the controller.

You maybe able to do that with only one or two LEDs. Also you could try to use a utility knife to cut the X out.

One simple mod that you can do that requires soldering (nothing too big) is install a switch in a MU so it acts as a reset button.
