controller question

Post by omegabullit »

For my N64p, im gonna do that hack with the controller where you just run lines off of the controller chip for each button a ground. What do you guys think the cleanest way to do this would be? I want to get this thing as small as possible, so most of the custom stuff im doing is goin on perfboard (power circuit, controller, etc.) and i didnt think that the controllers chip is the right size to fit into standard perfboard.

I'd say cut off the button pads to the left and right of the chip and main smt circuitry, then solder wires from your tactile switches to the controller chip.

Alright, I figured that was probably the best way. Ill jus attach it on the bottom the perfboard sumhow.
