I'm not sure to understand what you mean, but if you are talking about "when i think this project will be finished, there is not a lot of works, soldering paddle and psone mobo, painting the back of the box and found batteries,it will be finished soon.

Oh ok  , if i use a camcorder batteries (boxed) therefore connected by outside, i think thickness is 50mm (under cd player) and 40mm(buttons).
Like this one:http://cgi.ebay.fr/Batterie-pour-CANON- ... .m20.l1116

If i use batteries placed inside the psone thickness is 60mm (cd driver) and 50mm(under cd player).it depends on the batteries I ordered.
Like this one (will be modified for sure):http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?P ... rodID=3217

Yeah, mine ended up just under 60mm thick; although I plan to remake my system again if I get good results with the PSP joysticks; get it down to 50-55mm thick and sleeker. Might be worth relocating some of the capacitors on the PSone board in case you can make yours thinner?

This looks amazing! It's obvious you put a lot of time and effort in to this project. And that case was made by hand? It's beautiful. That is one portable to be proud of!

Psone board is thin, i don't think it's necessary to touch something, the board is perfect like that, to my point of view for sure :) .you will gain on the thickness external with psp joystick, Don't you think you will be unhappy of play sensation with the psp joysticks, i don't like them , perhaps because of its position on the psp.
Good luck for your modification

Thank you :) , Yes the case was made by hand , a big job but i think it's a good result even if i don't like the black paint, too late to change it.Don't worry i 'm still proud

That's the sweetest hand made portable EVER!!!!!!!!!
You better finish it; it looks great!

Also, did you paint on that design, or was it already on the plastic card?

Oh, okay.
That makes a lot more sense now, especially how it looks so cool.
Congrats on your case (and soon to be portable). Honestly, I don't think it needs much more work.
Keep it up!
