I'm a new player with experience of less than 3 weeks, go easy on me.
1. In some cases (almost EVERY DAY), I see players jumping like 10-15 feet hundreds of times a second. The ping is normal (150 for me, less for the others and maximum of 300 for some) and it's really annoying. One moment I got them on the sniper scope or binos and I was about to fire and they jump that fast and it throws me off and I go WTF? Is this a common glitch?
2. How do you spot a landmine before it kills you? I know, there is the beep-beep-beep sound but I miss it when I drive a jeep or a noisy tank.

Ah, you've got "Warhawk," too? We should play sometime; I need to get back into that game.
For your first question, I can't honestly say I've seen that jumping issue myself. Does it happen on just a particular map, or all of them?
As for question number two, there usually is a "beep-beep-beep" noise as far as I remember, but by the time I notice it it's usually too late and I get blown up.

1. The jumpy jumpy glitch happens frequently, notably on Destroyed Capital and Eucadia.
2. That's why I chuck a grenade to a flag or shoot it with a tank shell before capturing the base. I still get blown up though. :/
The only thing I love about the mines is you can stick it on a jeep and drive it straight into an enemy base and blow up Kamikaze style.
Or grab a jeep, ride to an enemy base and mine all their vehicles and turrets. When the enemy comes to get them, BOOM!
I'm sure they are pissed off!

Ha, are you serious? I never even knew you could do that! I must try this!Aguiluz wrote:The only thing I love about the mines is you can stick it on a jeep and drive it straight into an enemy base and blow up Kamikaze style.Or grab a jeep, ride to an enemy base and mine all their vehicles and turrets. Next time I play, I'll also watch for that jumping glitch and let you know what I find.

Yep, I accidentally found it in the demo because I intended to stick a mine near the jeep then it stuck to the jeep instead. Then I found I can drive with it. So I stuck 4 mines on the jeep and drove as fast as I could to a tank.Twilight Wolf wrote:Ha, are you serious? I never even knew you could do that! I must try this!
I still do that stunt if there is like 1:40 left on the game clock, since I don't want to blow myself up on a lone trooper, I want to blow a good bunch of them.

Re: Warhawk Questions (PS3)
Well, since the "Team Fortress 2" servers went down last night (as they tend to once every few weeks), I decided to play some "Warhawk." I found a Jeep, stuck a mine to it, and drove by the person who had our team's flag. Kaboom! I'm definitely going to use that strategy in the future, though on a larger scale, meaning I'm going to try to blow up more than one person at a time (not counting myself, of course).
Also, I did see that jumping issue you described; I think it may be that person lagging or something, as no other players including myself seemed to be having any issues.
By the way, I sent you a PSN friend invite!

Ah, the ole' mine-on-jeep tactic. I find that far funner than trying to play the game normally. You can also attach the to the underside of planes, and home in moving vehicles or go kamikaze into the enemy base.
Back on the subject of the thread, i've never experienced such a problem so I can't help you there.
With the mines, I find them quite easy to spot usually. They seem to show up quite distinctly. Once you've played the game a little bit longer you'll find people tend to stick them in the same places, and be able to avoid them as appropriate.
