Broken Xbox 360 controller

I've got an xbox 360 controller that the L button doesn't work. I'm thinking it's something in the spring. Anyone know how I can fix it?

i ment something wrong with it... if i open it up and close it is there a way of telling if it was opened or not

I believe there's a warranty sticker on the back, yes. You have to break through it to access one of the screws.

That is what you're asking about, right, or am I totally off?

look at the sync button, if it's tilted to the side it's a case of opening it up and putting it back togeather properly

Why would you care about a warranty sticker when you plan on fixing it yourself? Don't be afraid to open it up, that's what this whole site and forum is all about!

If its covered under a warranty, take advantage of it. If the warranty has run out, open it up and take a look! Its not like you have anything to lose.

lol he sent it to me and it's not broken at all, and the warranty sticker is still intact untouched. I was going to do the swap at GS. XD They screw people so why not screw them. If it was peeled I was going to have a whirl at fixing it, but now I got no need. Thanks for the help anyways guys.
