SUPER NINTOASTER! (Exactly how it sounds)

Post by vomitsaw »

My first 8-bit Nintoaster got good enough feedback to convince me to cough up another, so here it is.
An SNES crammed inside of a toaster, as you might have guessed by the title. (Built from nothing more than a Super NES, a toaster, four different types of adhesives, magnets ripped from a broken hard drive, six orange LEDs, a bunch of resistors, plexiglass, and many many spare wires no less!) This time the temperature control knob on the front actually serves a purpose, and that crucial task is dimming the orange LEDs. (In the event it begins to toast your retinas in a darkened room).

Experienced a few headaches along the way, but all in all it was a fun project.

I think the Mario problem is caused by the wires connecting the cart slot to the mobo being too long. Awesome mod though.

Once again you've managed to produce something totally out-of-the-ordinary but still awesome. You've got a knack for cramming systems into toasters.

That is an awesome mod.
I agree, though, that the wires appear to be too long, or maybe they give too much resistance?
You could use a multimeter to check...
Anyway, It's even better than your first one. Congrats!

Oh my! I have been toying with the idea of making a toaster inside a console case but this is clearly the more sensible idea. Good job!

I think that's great! Do you plan on making nintendo toaster systems all the way up to the wii? I doubt the GC would be easy becuse of the disk drive, but with the wii, the disk insert could go where the carts do on the snes toaster.
