Well, DualShock 3 vs 360 controller is more of a matter of opinion than anything. Personally I hate the odd stick placement, small size, D-pad, pseudo-triggers, and geometric shaped buttons. All those could be considered a plus to other people.

The fact is, it does not cost that much to make a game. Companies are just obscessed with making insane profits at the expense of everyone else (sometimes even the company suffers). You'd think they would have learned from the current credit crunch, but nope.

In any case, this is turning into an overly-long rant. Sorry for hijacking the thread. Bye!

Sorry I couldn't make it on tonight, I ended up staying at home and my 360 is at my apartment by school. Send me a friend request (Black 5ix) and we'll have to play some Halo sometime.

Therefore I'd probably buy the pro, which is $300. Add one good game, they are a ripoff at about $50 each (some are more like $70). Then add an extra contoller, a live subscription, and either play and charge kits or a crapload of batteries. Next thing you know it's about $500. I'd actually love to have a 360, but it's too expensive for me to afford. Plus I have no room on my desk to put it. (I'd use my computer monitor because my TV is only SD because I use it mostly for retro games)

Seriously, Microsoft needs to drop the prices. $300 for a console, I can live with that. At $50, games are insane. Also, if I spend $50 on a controller (which is a ripoff) I should at least get a rechargable battery. I also hate the way Live subscriptions work. Silver, the basic subscription, allows access to arcade and some other stuff, but not online gaming. You have to pay for that, which is completely backwards. Silver should be online gaming and nothing else- you should pay for extra features, not essential ones. Also, what are points cards for? Is this a subscription based (such as GameSpy) or purchase based (such as Steam) system?

Bottom line: High price tag and dubious online functionality prevent me from buying this great system.

dude i bought an elite with one game no extra controller and no live for 200 kd = 740 $ i live in kuwait condsidering the prices in the us is dirt cheap in here :P
