pleased to help you mate, anyway my guide used pics used gamevelver diagrams and other ppl info. (remember to give them also some credits

) my guide is only a small "repack" of some gc info at the forum.

I also noticed you are using phat and same colored (black) wires.

this may take working with the portable harder, if you use colored wires, you will identify each trace easier, and using slim , would let more free space, and the wires will be more easy to handle and reallocate.

doh!, sorry m8, seems I was wrong,your reallocation method is different from the one I used (you reallocated directly the entire DD port at the MOBO) I only reallocated the motor spin wires and the brown and red wires from the other motor only at the DD drive, but I didnt touched the DD main plug to the mobo)

anyway IÂ´m curius about who is the guy had the original idea of the reallocation method I used,Cant find his post/topic at forum.

The case is also based on ben's retro VCSp rev. 5, and his Apple II laptop (Speaker vent design.)

Small Update:

I finished the cooling system:

And put the PSU and BIOS settings battery in their final location (with 2 layers of paper between them and mobo.)

The cooling system is 2-layer aluminum sheet held on by the original grey gunk from the heatsink.

LEFT TO DO:

-extend 12 wires from motor
-attach DD pcb to mobo (grimaces...)
-Wire up PSone screen (still obtaining, will LED mod.)
-Wire up controller (tonight, hopefully.)
-Wire up battery
-Make case from CNC machine at friend's dad's work.
-pray...

Nice update man.

but,are u sure that aluminium sheet will be enough for cooling the CPU and GPU? (just asking,due I remember my GCp was got very hot after a few minutes of gameplay using other heatsinks)

omg you also still using same colored & phat wires

anyway It looks cool and thin, nice work

Honestly, no

A more extended answer would be:

I ran it for 20 minutes and it didn't get that hot. Having the fan directly over the CPU and GPU helps... a lot.

Also, the grey gunk helps absorb some heat.

In the near future, I may upgrade to copper. (like the palm PS2.)

That 'greay gunk' is thermal paste, used to fill the minute gaps in the metal particles of the HS. Mkae your you makeshift HS is a flat as possible.

Yayh, I know I need it to be flat. I already vised it up a few times and flattened it with pliers and will probably add a copper pipe to the back part where it folds over.
