Few questions...

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Few questions...

Post by Lord Skaled »

First of all, hi everyone! Iwas reading all around about the portable consoles and have decided to make one myself! I am going to use the small version PSOne and an official screen. I just had a few questions.

1) I need a 9V batteryand i just connect that to the original power supply socket?
2) What voltage batteries does the screen need?
3) Would i be able to inlay the screen onto the CD-Drive cover, so you can see the screen, on top of the disk drive. Would this be possible?

Thanks in Advance

1: the minimum needed is 7.2V, so 9V will work fine
2: The screen requires 7.2V, just like the psone
3: yeah, that's possible :)

So i need to get 2 7.2V batteries? One for the PSOne and one for the Screen? And also, how do i actually attach the battery to the PSOne and Screen?

No you only need 1 battery. This can power the screen and the psone. Though you can use two batteries for twice the playtime. :)

Right then. 1 battery. Do i need the leads with the PSOne? Cos i can get them pretty cheap without leads.

I've also written a handy PSone portabe tutorial you may think of using. Its a free download on my site... http://djky2k3.tripod.com Goes over EVERYTHING I could think of for PSOne portable, even though I've never actually had my own portable... I feel stupid for writting a tutorial for something I've never actually had... I ALMOST had it, but not quite.
