Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

They both control different things. The left one is usually to move the character around, and the right one is to control the camera angle.

But in this design, both analog sticks will control the same thing, as the PSP only has one joystick.

because the left analog sticks are ussually for aiming. the big analog sticks are clumsy anyway.

I don't really see a purpose for a right-side control stick.
Virtually every game uses the face buttons, so you need that thumb free for those.

Like mario said, the one on the right side is usually for camera movement or some other non important action. That way, you can use it when you have a second that you don't need to be using that thumb for buttons, but you don't ever NEED to use it.

Yes, but it doesn't make sense on a PSP.
PSP games never has independent camera control, since it has no 2nd stick.

You can't just throw a second stick in there and have it control the camera.

but you can use a second joystick if your left thumb gets tired or something, of course you can't control the camera with it, plus it will add to the sheer awesomeness of this mod :D

Oh I see what you were saying now. I thought you were just talking about it on like a PS2 controller. Yeah, it's pointless on a PSP, but without it in this particular case would look weird.

For those of you who don't know, the second analog stick mod, which is available in many different kits (Razor X, for instance), usually takes control of either the D-Pad or the Face Buttons themselves.

While it doesn't really act as an analog stick, it does have a nice feel to it in many games.
Katamari Damacy anyone?

I don't remember the Katamari game for PSP using the D pad.

I'm pretty sure a 2nd analog would be totally useless.

It uses the analog stick -or- D-Pad + Face Buttons.

Add a second analog stick controlling the Face Buttons == Near PS2 style controls.

The left one is usually to move the character around, and the right one is to control the camera angle.
no games really come with a feature that says;

"if you add an extra analog stick, you get to move the camera".

its sort of like saying 'oh, i added an extra pentagon GOD button that lets me win the game everytime i press it.

Lol. I'm pretty sure you're the only one still talking about this.
