The easiest, and fastest PSone portable idea!

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Thats a nice portable by MM007, I may try to build that myself, since a portable PSone for me is overkill, for the amount of games I play.

You wimp! :P
Just have the buttons sunk below the case instead of on top.

Cut the speakers off. Relocate them and super glue them at the top (wiring inside). Then It will fold like normal.

Thought you was calling me a wimp then! Would a Hip Gear Screen work for a PS1?

I'm not worried about it anymore... I'm gonna start looking into my PS2 plexi-glass case. If this idea goes though, i'll be using the LCD screen in it anyways...

i dont own a psone yet but im interested in portablizing it. will there be enough room to mount a hip gear screen to the lid, and add controller buttons on the side (i dont care much about analog)?

you can do it like G-Force, and velcro a portable TV to the lid. Check out his site in his signature.

Velcro would be an applicable idea for portablizing a PSone, but using a big grey Ps1 case... Since the LCD won't fit int he lid without touchign the disc, you could just velcro it to the top... Wait a minute! SI there anyway to extand the LCD display's ribbon? If so, the LCD would be dremeled and mounted int he lid, and the ribbbon extended to the PCB inside the case! If the ribbon is the exact same as the PSone lasers, you could buy the extension ribbon... That would be awsome!
