I'm still more impressed with the Earthbound and mini NES haul. Both are quite hard to find. Plus Earthbound is a totally amazing game, probably my favourite for SNES.

So far I've gotten Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, and the KJ companion missions disk for $0.75. Last year I did better. I spent about $20 for some Legos, kept about 1/2 of them, and sold the other half on ebay through several well thought out auctions and made about a $150 profit. Hooray for how much parts of lego train sets sell for.

NOOBS. My best score was a Neo Geo AES with four japanese games, and 2 controllers. The games were Fatal Fury Special, Samurai Spirits 3, King of the Monsters 2, and Samurai Spirits. For 25 dollars.

While I was gone. I Pick up a Near Mint copy of Fighter Maker at a Yard Sale last Saturday for $3. The Disk has no Scratches what so ever. Not a grab if I do say so myself. Had to wait till today to play it.

I don't get to yard sells often, and what they usually have sucks...but:

I did get an HP desktop for free. My neighbor's sister was just going to throw it away (including the monitor!).

It has a P4 under the hood with 512MB of RAM, a 3 port firewire card (2 external, 1 internal).
It has an ATI video card with s-video, composite, and vga out. I haven't looked at it too closely yet. It's connected via PCI.
I also got the 15" monitor. It's a CRT, but it's good for free.

I got a Dell 19" LCD for free the other day. It's not a yard sale find per se, but it was cheap. My dad found it in the trash at work, and it didn't turn on. It would just make a whining noise with a "chirp" noise every second or so. Long story short there were a couple blown capacitors on the power supply board which got replaced, and now the monitor works perfectly. I think it's a Dell 1905FP, 1280x1024. I wanted to save it because it can accept digital DVI, which works with my old Radeon 9200 in conjunction with the standard VGA port, so hopefully this will get a dual head system going. 8) (And it can switch between DVI and VGA independently, so it can still function for a second machine.)

If you want pictures I can put some up.

I went to the annual school rummage today.

I went to the school rummage sale today. I got a ton of cool stuff.

8 history textbooks
a book about the history of sesame street.
megaphone
laserdisc player
an old general electric TV with dials (to play atari and NES on)
2 VHS camcorders
2 bean bag chairs
a bublar (water fountain from those not from wisconsin)
a box full of christmas lights
a turntable and a few speakers
a windows ME server

I asked the guy how much and he said $100. I said $20 and it was a deal. I gave the turntable and server to a friend (my friend now has 6 servers and 9 pc's in his basement, along with cabinets full of extra hardware). Also, my friends girlfriend saw the movies dazed and confused and rocky horror picture show and bought them. I wanted to get them, and I find it hilarious that they were selling these at a school rummage sale and have no idea where they came from. We had to make a few car trips back and forth because they bought a ton of stuff too.

Afterwards, we went to mcdonalds, then goodwill. I didn't see anything good at goodwill, but my friends girlfriend (again) saw an NES FOR $7!!!! and bought it. I asked her why she saw all the cool stuff and she went on a rant that went to her talk about how she hates America for no reason. I got a black denim jacket for $6. Someday im going to where it to school with my black jeans and van halen shirt.

I was looking at it, and not really. it actually doesn't have that much about sesame street history, but is just filled with random facts and stuff that I don't really care about.

and projectfailure: thats hilarious.
