Fixing a GBA

Post by vb_master »

My friend has this GBA, and the screen doesn't turn on all the time. He knew that the screen was messed up when it displayed the wrong colors for games. Now the screen doesn't turn on all the time. I think that the ribbon cable is loose. Is it a better option for me to open it up and see what I can do, send it to Nintendo (it's out of warranty [I think!]), or buy a used one at a local used game reseller? Thanks!

I'd say look inside and see if you can fix it. Just taking a look couldnt harm it. Other then that if you want to spend the money to send it into Nindendo byallmeans go ahead, but I dont think there is much Nindendo is going to do other then tell you pay $10-50 for a new part(s).

I'd only buy a new one if theres no hope and you might as well throw it in the trash.
