The most quiet pc FAN?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

The most quiet pc FAN?

Post by woox »

Can you guys recommend me the most quiet 120mm PC fan? After searching I came along the NEXUS REAL SILENT CASE FAN D12SL-12, its fairly quiet running at 19 dBA. Would like to know if one is quieter, must be a 120mm fan.

19DB would be barely audible, by itself. I know there is a site that reviews HDDs for audible noises; I can't remember who, and I think they do PSUs and fans as well, not that it helps much. :(

The only 120mm fans I know of that are definitely quiet, and that I can recommend, are the old black SilenX fans.

Fans of this size will be very quiet by nature anyway, as they are moving a lot of air with lower cycles, rather than a small fan which has to cycle faster to move much air at all.
