trust me, you need a tuner for any system you use on a Game Gear, except for the Game Gear itself. You could always sell your Game Gear on ebay, or even your tuner alone and buy a Hip Gear screen.

Here is a link to get a Hip Gear Screen for $20 just buy one and it is in Canada (I think that is where you live) Game Gear rocks and the screen is pretty much impossible to use, so don't use it. It uses a digital signal so you can't send regular A/V in to it. And the Hip Gear Screen plugs directly into your PSOne with no mods so that makes it easy. I just bought one and had it hooked up to my N64 playing Rogue Squadron and the screen was pretty sharp.
