It keeps you constantly grounded, so no static can build up, meaning you wont fry anything.Rich wrote:I read that people trying to make a n64p are always having trouble because they are frying their n64s... is the static bracelet a unknown tool that is very effective that will help those people who keep frying their stuff? Or does it just prevent you from getting shocked?
And jack, I know a battery does work like that, but Im not sure if theres enough power to kill you... Maybe if you dealing with a big battery but still...

I know but it will defenatly kill your n64. Buyt if you were woring on a DCp or a PS2p and touched the + from AC you would have a cicuit only taking off the wire would break. at my friend T.y.'s (the loser in the ttn pic in my signature =P) house we were rearranging our office (yes, we have an office, we make websites for money {www.motivostudios.com} is our business site) and i was unplugging something from a plugged-in power bar and he bumped into me and i touched the half-way-in plug... good thing i was holding it so the sudden surge made me drop the power bar... it didnt hurt but it made me shake for a few minutes afterwards lol =P

Not able to order online?
Don't know if this thread is still running, but if you can't order a certain part online yourself, have RS order it for you and have it shipped to the store. They're usually pretty cool 'bout stuff like that. Good luck with the project!
