PSOne screen power

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

PSOne screen power

Post by chicken strip »

I've been kinda wondering (When I say 'kinda wondering', I mean wondering but letting it slide cuz i dont own one or much care to know) how is the PSOne LCD screen powered? Do you plug it, or is it battery powered? This might seem to be a stupid question but... Still.

lol.

I mentioned it in the other thead you started, but here it is anyway in case someone else has the same question:

They were made to be plugged in to the wall or car, but a third party battery attachment was made as well.

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

oh... i forgot why i was asking... hold on let me think for a minute so i can get to the point of what i was about to say...

almost got it...

eerrrrrr...

AHHHHH....

GRRRRAAAWWWRRRRR!!!!!!!....

Ah, yes. I was asking because I was told it makes it kind of like a portable PSOne but I thought "To be portable, it would have to run without the limitation of a cord" because IF IT WAS portable and DID run on batteries (capitilizationally emphasized words show hypotheticality of my dialog {now thats a mouthful}) then why would it have an energy-sucking cathode tube instead of already using low energy LEDs or fiber-optics... And so it plagued me... until now :p... this makes it harder to portabalize... though batteries are no biggie...
