4.5 mm x 3.8 mm tacile switches

in the nes hand built protect i had 8 tact switches.
in the instructions i was told to break off one lead.
but i broke off the wrong lead
do you think the tact swich will still work if i bend the leads to
fit.

So long as you can solder one end of the circuit to two diagonal leads on the tact switch, you'll be fine.

And just out of curiosity, why did it tell you to break off a lead? Sounds kinda silly if you ask me...
