I might make a Flash animation based off the podcast episode 28 intro ("I'm Bill Gates and I'd like to ask you a question..."). It will become sort of like a commercial. Problem is, I can't decide on the background.
I've narrowed it down to three:
1. 1890s Victorian style parlor / sitting room, complete with red walls, paintings, and a burning fireplace. He'll sit in a large leather armchair in a smoking jacket, and maybe throw things into the fireplace. Something like this:
(Dis-)advantages:
+ Looks "rich"
- Lots of stuff to draw
2. Bill's real-world office. It would add some realism, but it's kind of boring.
(Dis-)advantages:
+ Closer to reality
+ Simple to draw
+ Easy to hide "props" behind the desk
- Really boring to look at
3. Evil underground lair. Think "Batcave meets Dr. Evil". It's a big underground cave with tons of monitors, one gigantic screen, and a large central console to control it all. Honestly I like this one the best.
Something like this, but less cartoony and vibrant:
(Dis-)advantages:
+ Fits the "gates is evil" perception
+ More fun to look at
- More drawing than the office

I'm warning everyone ahead of time: This may or may not be completed, because classes and homework get in the way of progress. (Also I tend to procrastinate and drop projects halfway through.
) This one has a good chance of getting completed, though, because it doesn't involve too much coding (unlike my last Flash endeavor). (I'm not too good at ActionScript. Of course I had to use everyone's favorite slogan.
The 360 globe logo is blatantly traced but at least it's vector. (Getting those gradients to line up properly wasn't fun.)EDIT: Poll-ified!
