hailrazer said "PSp Slim with a Slim battery with pin #5 unsoldered." ! What ?? A PSP SLIM BATTERY ?!
Can anyone confirm this ? I thought Slim batts could not ever ever be converted.
Here's a PDF version of the tutorial. I modified it a little, hope you don't mind. BatteryTutorial.rar
cw3383: Read the damn readme ! That's why it's there.
Edit: I have a question. Do we need the 1.5 update at the root of the MS, or the 3.40/3.50 ? Or does it install 3.71M33 just like that ? Thanks for the files btw.
Not sure what I am doing wrong... I lifted the correct pin in the battery...
I followed these steps for the files...
1. Extract the RAR archive to C:\Pandora\
2. Open a command prompt by clicking [Start]-->[Run], then type "cmd" and hit [OK].
3. Type "cd C:\Pandora"
4. Make sure that the MS is not open in a window and type:
"format X: /fs:fat32" (Replace X with the drive letter of your MS)
This does not always work on the first try... repeat as needed.
5. Type "msinst X msipl.bin" (Replace X with the drive letter of your MS)
6. Copy the contents (not the folder itself!) of C:\Pandora\ROOT to the root directory of the MS
7. Your done! Use the Memory Stick as a standard Universal Downgrader.
For instructions on how to do this, visit Dark Alex's website.
And Nothing!!
Here is a screenshot of the file structure of my memmory stick pro duo...

Yea DS, I did. They didnt download the first time. Still not working...
Basically, you need to put the msinst.exe + msipl.bin files, AND the "ROOT" folder in "C:\Pandora\".
- Type "cd C:\Pandora"
- Type "format X: /fs:fat32"
- Type "msinst X msipl.bin" From the screenshot provided it would seem your PSP's drive letter is E: ! So you'll use E: instead of X: ...
Then you copy the files from "C:\Pandora\ROOT" to the root directory of the MS.
I'm also assuming that you need the msipl.bin file at the root of the MS. Donno... I'll try it tomorrow.

Tried all that. I put the battery in and nothing. Just a green light
