I finally 'Finished' My one-handed PC controller and found the time to post it up. It isn't very pretty, but it's FUNCTIONAL and allows to me play OOT on PJ64 and eat lunch at the same time. I'm not so crazy about OOT that I can't stop playing it, although I never get bored of beating it for the 18th time

, I just like to save time and kill to birds with one stone so to speak.
I call it: The Friimote!

it works differently from other controllers as you can see, I took the shell of an old Philips universal remote and guts from a old PC controller I had. You use your right or left hand to work the second analog stick for movement, and flick the remote so the weighted first analog stick will fall down and cause Link to slash his sword. I used a PC mouse ball for the weight, as the marble shooter I originally used required too much force and the mouse ball made it easier to flick around. I mean heck, Mouse balls are just solid metal with rubber coating over them, so it makes since that they are perfect for this purpose. With the right configs and practice, you can play Halo PC with this too.

Pressing down on the second analog stick will make him roll or open doors, and the Dpad acts as the C buttons, although I use 'UP' on the Dpad for Z targeting. This weird controller scheme takes a while to get used to, but I picked up on it in the first hour and played like I would with a regular controller.

I can also turn the Friimote on it's side and play MK64 like I would on some Wii game. You can rotate it like a steering wheel for steering obviously, use the power button for gas and using the D pad for other important tasks.
This thing's uglier than an ape and quite limited compared to a real Wiimote, but it gets the job done nicely and makes a decent contest entry.

A good lookin' case sounds pretty good dudex77, maybe that'll be my first case making project.

It stills needs some more work as I'm trying to make a trigger under it for the A button, like on the Wii. This will make jumping and shooting easier on games like RayMan2 and Super Mario 64.
I think nightwheel is probably being sarcastic if he's referring to Gump's El Cheapo submission thread. (Which was a pretty good submission by the way

) But when he said 'seriously', he might be serious. It might help you used smilies nightwheel.

Is it motion controlled? Axis?

Well, you can call it motion controlled, just a PC mouse ball super glue gelled to the first analog stick.

Whenever you flick the remote in the desired direction, the weight from the mouse ball causes it to fall in that direction. It takes practice to play it with Mario Kart and Zelda, at first I felt like a total retard, but I got used to it within the hour.

You know people would pay money for these, perhaps we should point them this way.

Currently I can't personally make enough to meet demand (though I am working on a production design) but maybe forum members could help?

I still get a lot of requests for single handed controllers, mostly Xbox 360.

What do you all think?

Haha, as weird as it might sound, I never thought people would pay money for a controller like mine with barely enough 'sophistication' to beat the Dreamcast fishing rod.

I'm currently designing something like this for a GC controller for my cousin, since he wants a more Wii like experience with his GC version of Twilight Princess, but a little better looking, with something that looks like a Wii nunchuck...ect. . He already donated some Madcats controller I'm using for the mod.

I call it the Famiclone 2 in 1 Controller. As you can guess, its 2 controllers in 1! Its a Famiclone Controller, with the Famiclone gun built in!

Sorry if the pictures blurry, but I chew my nails and for some reason my hands always shake. (Maybe I damaged some nerves?)

This took me about 2 hours to make. It works, which is lucky for me as I didn't think it would. The area where the Gun LED is actually very convienient as I just tilt the controller on its side and fire. As you guys can see one of my buttons looks like it "fell" and thats because I had to cut out some of the insides and that button isnt being held up by anything. (Not like Im gonna use the button anyway.)

Now, I can play my Fake Mario and Fake Duck Hunt with 1 controller.

(PS: This has 2 plugs.)
