Question about power switch on SNES

Post by electromaster64 »

I finally took my SNES power switch off today and then something on the bottom tore. See figure 9-7 on the following page for the top view (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1 ... 801,00.asp) What it looked like was a copper trace from where the power switch is that went to another solder point right next to the power switch solder points. Should I connect the solder from the switch to this other solder point or leave it the way it is. I don't want to fry my only SNES mini or my portable building will be over.

Hey thanks for putting that on there. But yeah on the bottom of the SNES there are two solder points right next to those two and I think that they are connected by a copper strip that is under that green stuff can anyone check with a multi meter and see if they are indeed connected because I disconnected them on accident and need to know if I should reconnect them.

Try to put it back as close as it was originally. If the copper points were conected reconect them.
