Dead AC adaptor?

I accidently connected the 12v leg to the shorter middle leg of that thingie on the N64 that gives off 5v on it's other leg(7802?) and my adaptor stopped working. I've done this before and the adaptor just needed to be left for a short time and it would work again. But this time it's still not working even hours later. Did I short something out? Can I fix it somehow?

I think you bridged the 12V input and ground frying the n64.

Nope, the N64 still works fine with my other adaptor.
