Fifteen dollars, though? I suppose it comes down to just how much the extra battery life is worth to you. The setup sure does look easy. They even say on the site it's made for switching with the 78XX series.
Maybe I'll get one when I finally get around to finishing a PSOne portable - y'know, something that's a real battery drainer.

I think I fried the motherboard!
I inserted the battery backwards and now it won't turn on at all.
Has this happened to anyone else? Can I fix it by replacing the 7805 chip?

I'm sorry I wasn't clear, I was in a rush, the bell had just rung and my teacher was yelling at me.

If one took the NES portion off, and it everything still worked, would one be able to use the NES board in another project?
(and how would one do it?)
