First post edited. Here are the FINAL NON-CHANGING AGAIN rules. Except if Triton and others decide on a common controller for their group to mod.

RULES:

Ok...It's now an open contest. You must remake a Nintendo controller using Bondo or any other crazy skills you may have, except vaccum forming.

You must complete the said controller (personally I'd prefer N64) by March 16th. After you complete it, post pictures of it in this thread.

Since this is just for the skills of case-making, the controller doesn't have to work, but the guts should be in their appropriate and corresponding places. On March 16th, at 7 o clock, this contest is over.

At that point, whichever mod wants to can go through the listings and make a poll out of it. To make it easier on them, Bold the listing.

In addition, there is a branch of the contest just between Triton, G, Turbo, and Enter the Hatrix, in which there will be 3 winning positions. One will win Gold (WoW money, of course. Courtesy of G-force  ), one silver, and one bronze. And one will be forever exiled from the forums, and will be required to buy cases from the other members of the forums instead of making his own. If they so choose, these 4 many decide on a controller that all 4 must make (Like an NES).

Remember to post your finished controllers in this thread, in BOLD, with a link to pictures!

That' not fair! Assuming that four people are better than the rest is bull! Make this a full-fledged open contest, no "wings." Maybe make a tournament styled contest, with them in one wing, but the winner of another wing gets to battle the winner of the opposite wing for the final prize.

Also, having no restrictions doesn't help the contestants at all.

Gah, sounds worse than Iron Chef. If I'm competing for jack crap, when four people are put above me - why bother? :(

Because I'm trying to make it fun for everyone!!!

Lots want to see what those 4 can do when competing against each other for the best model. The restrictions are they have to be Nintendo controllers. There are 4 kinds possible, that's not an infinite amount.

I assumed the others would have the same setup. 1, 2, 3, and worst model, based on a poll. Other's aren't excluded. They just weren't mentioned directly in the rules.

How would you set up the rules?

Modification type? They are limitless, really.

I would set up the rules with no wings. Make it clearer to understand that everyone is in the same boat. Many people want to see four people compete, what's the harm of having more?

Because, say, if I wanted to compete in this competition (which I don't, because my case skills blow chunks) I would be nothing compared to those 4, and know I'd lose.

Hows about YOu make some rules and see how well you can satisfy all?

HAHAHAHA! see what i mean! if it was just the 3 or 4 of us it would be simpler but now we have arugments and nobody can agree on set rules! here are the rules as i would do them

1. must start with a nes, snes or n64 controller board basically as is

2.must use a form of frankencasing, using existing parts and bondo etc to build the case, no vac forming fiberglass molding etc

3. contest ends as kurt said

4. open to everyone who wants to enter with according prizes to first second and third place (no WoW gold! i dont have that stupid game and im sure others also dont)

any others?

I agree with Triton's rules. Much more fair and convenient.

I don't have a starting case, so I'll have to build one from scratch, including buttns, but I wont vacuum form or fibreglass the case..

I don't have WoW either..

I can't start mine until Friday because of my work load.
