they only run a few bucks on ebay for us here in the states im sure in the uk it would prolly run a pound or so plus shipping.EnterTheHatrix wrote:I looked at the local game store, they didn't have any outside a console bundle.. So I either buy a SNES with one controller, or nothing.ATOMICMAN wrote:make it an open competition for everyone to try and be the best. but you have to do something that everyone may have or can get cheap. an snes or nes controller is great because they are super cheap or most people will have an extra lying around.
The only spare shell I have, is for Gamecube..
Benheck first (possibly last) annual Bondo open!

Are we allowed to build cases from scratch?EnterTheHatrix wrote:SNES controllers on eBay are £13.50...
I have got a NES controller board, so I'd have to build the case from scratch..

Your decision mate.Sparkfist wrote:Ahh I thought it'd be cool for you guys to remake an NES controller, you know make it more ergonomic, or maybe an SNES. Something that's so two dimensional that you have to work to make it 3D or just comfortable.
Good luck to you all.
Also, I don't have any spare NES or SNES controllers to destroy.. only a cube controller and PS2 controller..
I could stop by gamestation and see if they have N64, SNES or NES controllers.

Ok...It's now an open contest. You must remake a Nintendo NES controller (for Sparkfist's reasons, and they're dirt cheap) using Bondo or any other crazy skills you may have, except vaccum forming.
You must complete the said controller (personally I'd prefer N64) by March 16th. After you complete it, post pictures of it in this thread.
Since this is just for the skills of case-making, the controller doesn't have to work, but the guts should be in their appropriate and corresponding places. On March 16th, at 7 o clock, this contest is over.
At that point, whichever mod wants to can go through the listings and make a poll out of it. To make it easier on them, Bold the listing.
Ready...set... bananas!

I think having it open is better, because it allows everyone to participate and it combats peoples strengths and skills by making the same thing, in the same time frame.Kurt_ wrote:What did you agree to?
Open contest doesn't exclude others extremely good bondo-goers who are hiding in the shadows. Nes controller is hard to turn into something cool.
Why Triton? Scared?

scared = no. but i assumed it would be me vs gforce vs turbotax which would have been simple to manage with a few rules but making it basically a massive free for all buildoff adds complexity to the whole thing. but i do have some ideas
lets see where this goes!

I understand where Triton's coming from. It's more competitioney when they only have 2-3 equal or greater bondo-ers to beat.
Hows this sound. We do the 3, then after they finish we do everyone else?
I'm trying to be inclusive, but not let this fall apart.
I resign as head-post-maker. Mods, you can deal with this mess, or tell the people they're not wanted.

sounds good because it is about those three because they are very accomplished portablizers. after the poll is taken for them we can vote on everyone else.
