Thanks for the kind comments guys.

dudex77 - the US SNES plays SFC games already - no need to mod it. It wont play PAL games though.

If there's one thing I'd suggest as an alternative to Ben's design, it would be to use 'plasticard' for the box (both the face amd the sides) - it's really strong, yet flexible and very easy to cut. Perfect for custom jobs.

Very nice. I am a bit rusty on the team "Famicon" though. Is it just a NOAC?

Super Famicon=super nintendo.
Famicom=Family computer, which is what nintendo names the NES in japan, then decided to rename it in america. Then, when they released their super famicom in japan, they had to be consistent in america and still keep the name they gave the american console. >_> So Famicom=NES, Super Famicom=SNES

Thanks a lot, I get it now.

Also, zipper that is very nice. Very proffessional. Now build me a portable Wii...

B-e-a-utiful!
That's a perfect portable, especially for your first one! :) I really like the decals as well, they look even better than Ben's IMO :)
Can't wait for your next project!

Thought I'd post this as I had a couple of hours today and modified the original PS1 screen box to suit my portable.
The internal cardboard is a good fit for it.

It's in the style of the original Super Famicom box:

Anyone else thought of fitting their portable in a custom box?
If not, how do you store your portables? Do you put them out on display?!
