this has worked with every snes game i have tried, including Super mario RPG
megamanX3
kirbys dreamland3
and starfox
it is one awesome machine but i reccomend getting official snes brand controllers the ones that come with it have short cordds and are a bit to "squishy"

You don't know? Or is this a sarcastic remark, because your multimeter can't do that?
Assuming you're serious about not knowing know (
) here's how:
Plug the positive multimeter wire into the 10 amp plug (or equivalent). Set your multimeter to amps at the appropriate level. Hook one end up to the battery positive, and the other the the positive in on your thingie.

nope, never had a need to, just used it for continuity and checking voltage. i'll crack it open again and check though. i'm wondering if the third board is needed for the snes portion to run, it sounds like it is from what the people in this thread have said i think i'm gonna check the guts out a little more over Christmas breakKurt_ wrote:You don't know? Ok, get this:
I was at the fleamarket today talking to one of the dealers. He said that another friend of his had been selling these "FC Twins" for the past two months or so in his own store.
But that's not my point.
He also said they had a horrible reliablity, and that 5 out of the 6 he sold recently were brought back, because they 'burned up'. He claimed he had to quit selling them, because every one he sold eventually came back dead.
Could there actually be a problem with the power circuitry? or is this guy just talking out of his butt?
Those of you that already have one, keep an eye on the regulators and make sure nothing is too warm. I don't have one of these yet, but am seriously interested, so I'd really like to know.
until then,
SNESguy

If all else fails, take it apart!

If anyone looked at the pictures from Gannon's post, the "other" SNES clone uses a different regulator and no heatsink. Perhaps the regulator is messed on both, or the guy is talking about this one.
