What about the HD? Can it be used for something else than an Ipod?

You can't use integrated screens like that because they don't have the hardware to decode analog composite video (the yellow plug).

You can use the hard drive with other devices. It will require you to hand wire an adapter to the hard drive, soemthing like a 44 pin EIDE would be standard, but you could possibly try the 50 pin set used by compactflash and microdrives.

You should say HDD (hard disk drive) instead of HD. From the title, I thought you were asking if the iPod has an HD screen, which it doesn't. It's LD (low definition.)
