high temp hot glue is very useful for reinforcing your solder connections! but make sure you check that it works BEFORE you go beserk with the glue :-)

hey everyone. a few questions about the switches...
1. Do the wire leads from the momentary switchs simply solder onto the controller board itself?
2. Do you have to remove that black coating on the board or any other preparation (on the nintendo brand controller)?
3. There are two pins on each momentary switch, if you do solder directly to the board, where does each pin get connected?

Sorry about all the questions at once, I have read a lot of the other topics in this forum but still don't understand the momentary switch and controller connection (yes I even used the search function :!: ). And just so you know I am going to register, just wanted to get this question out there so I can hopefully figure it out before too late in the day tomorrow. Thanks in advance for your help and patience.

just scrape off the black stuff on the controller board and you should be able to solder to it. also, you can solder one pin of the switch to ground, while the other one is soldered to the button or the pin on the controller chip for the button (gannon has a pinout).
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
