Since I've been bored (and poor) this summer, I thought that I should probably start doing something to pass the time (and make me money). So I decided I'm going to start selling a few of the portables I build. My first will be an Intellivision 10-in-1 games system as seen here in the middle. It would feature a HipGear, probably. Would anyone be interested in buying it? I can provide more tech specs as the project later on. It will go in the trading post when done. Perhaps as an auction if I get multiple offers?

Anyone want a portable?

I dunno; I can get a rough estimate after I calculate the raw price; I may just hold an auction-type deal in The Trading Post.Sword_Gun wrote:How much would it be?
Well, Wal-Mart didn't have the 25-in-1 for sale at the time; plus, most of the 15 other games are just various clone-types of the first 10.vskid wrote:Why not use the 25 in 1? Or are the extra games not as good?
Not trading anything yetExtreme_Jesus wrote:shouldnt this be in the trading forum?

I don't see why this was moved
. I thought of it more as something like MaDnEsS's thread about the LED modded PSOne screens he was making, but whatever's cool for the mods I guess
. Anyways, here's what the portable will include:
Composite video
Mono sound
Headphone jack for sound
Intec 2.5 inch LCD display
The games included on the system are:
* Astrosmash
* Baseball
* Football
* Motocross
* Night Stalker
* Shark! Shark!
* Skiing
* Snafu
* Space Armada
* Star Strike
The side bar on this page has links to full descriptions, histories, and screenshots of those 10 games.
I also found out that the system uses an NOAC, but putting on a cart slot would of course destroy the concept of an "Intellivision" portable, wouldn't it
?
As for case design, I'm kinda split right now. I've come up with 2 options:
Option 1: Shove it in a project box. Simple, I know, but it works and delivers a factory (if not "boxy") feel.
Option 2: Fasten a hinge onto the top of the Intellivision NOAC itself, then attach the other end to the Intec LCD, making a folding GBA SP type deal. By the way, this is my favorite option, provided I can get it to work.
So, any takers? Or even the slightest bit interested?
