Finding custom ROM pinouts

Post by gannon »

Mainly for globtops, Ben and others did it for the Radica, so it has to be possible, just not sure the exact route to go about it (this is for a ~55 pin rom)

I can confirm that it is a NOAC from personal experience, but I have yet to find the pinouts of this baby. I just need to dig out the old scope and some banana clips, and I'll get back to you.

I'm not sure how Ben found out about the pinout, I suspect he either just went with the assumption that it was a Genesis and wired it up from there, or had gotten the schematics from somewhere.

Other than just wiring it up in a logical manner for a NES cart, or getting the schematics, you could try getting ahold of a digital logic analyser with a bunch of channels (or use a single channel one on each of the pins) and watch the output.
