A new wooden frame alternative to vac-forming

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

A new wooden frame alternative to vac-forming

Post by minkster »

Well, I'm almost ready to vacuum form and I made my wooden frames to sandwich a peice of plastic in the middle to bake in the oven. In order to keep it secure and make sure the plastic doesn't move around too much I used an alternative instead of screwing in stuff or using lock down clamps. I used Velcro woot! :P I have to say it secures the plastic and frames quite well. I'm pretty sure it will work nicely, and hopefully wont melt when I melt the plastic. I may take pics when I'm not too lazy :)
