I'm sure I'm gonna get a slew of replies saying: "khaag you suck big time!!!!" for saying this, but I'm gonna say it anyways...
I think its TOO green... don't get me wrong, the case is kickass, its just that the green burns my eyes when i look at it. I think that you should paint it black and put green accents on it. anyways, thats just my opinion...
Thats what I was thinking when I first painted it.. But when your holding it it looks so much differnt. There's going to be a lot of differnt colors on it like, the 4 vent covers that are black, the buttons that are multi colored and all the little things here and there. So I think there will be enough color in everything to balance it out, so it wont look so green...
That was just for the battery and charger, just think about all the other things I had to buy. This is almost a$600 project, is it worth it ? Yes... I'll post more when I do more...
Turbo Tax 1.0:
I put that project aside for now to work on the xbox..
Have you tried watching Xbox stuff on the PSone screen? I was playing Halo on a modded PSone screen (before I messed up the LED mod) and I couldn't see Master Chief's HUD and most of the enemies appeared very blurry. Do you think this will affect your portable, or will you be able to adjust?
"I like my coffee like I like my women. In a plastic cup."
That does make a big difference. I tried playing Metriod Prime 2 on a 7" portable DVD player screen using composite, and the quality was quite poor. It was difficult to see the HUD, contrast and brightness were so off they weren't even fixable with adjustment; everything in general was kinda blurry. But I'm sure if I tried using RGB (which I think is impossible with that screen) it would show up great. As far as S-video is concerned... well... I really don't think there's enough of a difference between that and composite. He's a smart guy; chances are he's going with RGB.

I tried Halo 2 on my unmodded PSone screen. It was way hard to see stuff, but the screen is only 5".
That is sooooo going to suck if a psone screen wont work, after all this progress. as to the color of the case, do you think the X should be the only thing green? are you using a homemade vac-table with the shopvac? and do you plan to use RGB mod on the psone screen(if it works)? this is a extreeemly neat project, and i wish you the best of luck. you now have the blessing of the kid from 1337 green hill rd.
