i need ideas for a genesisp
im creating my first portable, genesis (easiest and cheap) but i dont know what to use for a case. i dont want it to be crap (but i want it to look nice. any tips?

Vac forming and CNC cutting give you the best results, but they cost a lot, too. Also, let's not criticize other people's case making methods; using a tackle box gives quite favorable results in the eyes of most. Also, all the people using tackle boxes have actually MADE portables, so finish one that's better and then we'll let you run your mouth

Use a Hip Gear or Intec 2.6in screen, the Radica controller, the top half of another controller, a hinge and a battery pack. Put the Radica and optional cart slot in the Radica controller, under the control board. Glue all the buttons fast to the top half of the other controller, put the screen in the underside of it, and hinge it to the Radica controller. You can fit AAs in the top controller too. Paint as desired, and enjoy.

Edit: That is some poor quality concept art, but I think you get the idea. You could use the Sonic Gold (Radica) too, it already has the Genesis inside the controller.
