Painting Question...

Let's just say that I'm making a case out of plexi and metal (outsides). I wanted to paint the case black, on the inside of the plexi, so it has an Apple iPod look to it, with that awesome shine. There are though a couple of scratches on the outside of the plexi, so I may want to paint on the outer layer of the plexi.

Let's just say that I'm going to paint on the outerside, to cover the scratches. What type of paint should I use?

So I paint the case on the outer side of the plexi, but spraypaint always leaves that sticky or rough feel after drying. Is there a coat of paint or something that I can put on the plexi that will make the case feel smooth and non-sticky?

if your gonna paint it to get rid of the scratch why dont you just sand it with some rough sandpaper then a very fine paper, and then go over it with fine steel wool

krylon fusion is a pretty good paint its not very sticky and its sticks to plastics great

Use primer before the paint. Get a dark primer if you are using a light color and for plexi you might need a special plastic primer for it to stick.then get some Krylon paint (best brand in my opinoion) and some spray on clear coat. It'll look pretty good.
