Did I break it? (PSone LCD mod)

I have been lurking on this site for a long time and have become overwhelmed by the knowledge many of you have. I hope that it may be possible for you to help me.

Been working on the LCD mod lately. And I think that I burnt it up.

I am always very precise about things when it comes to electronics and just tinkering in general. Finally after a few days, got the thing working great. So to clean things up a bit, I decided to make the final cables I would be using for the screen.

Well, long story short..... I messed up and mis-colored my positive and negative 7.5V leads on the wire a made and....... reversed the leads to the lcd controller board. DAMN!

Now, when I plug it in, I get nothing. no back light turning on....no control display for the brightness or sound coming up..... nothing. I connected it to a psone and I get nothing except some thick black lines that you wouldn't even notice unless you were looking.

BTW, I do have 7.5V present at the board as tested via multimeter on the back of the board @ the 7.5v test point. Also have 7.5V present in a few other places......BUT I have lost the +5V at the test point to the side of the board. There is no longer +5V present there.

Question is.....can I fix this? Is there something that can be jumped or replaced to fix it.

the left and center pins are voltage in (7.2+volts) and ground, respectively

Where is the best place to pick one up in the states? Is this something that a radio shack would have?

Asking, cause I live in Belgium and cannot think of the first place to go for something like that. I don't speak the local language.

yeah, radio shcak should have them. You might want to pick up a multimeter too so you can better check for blown components.

has anyone been able to find a schematic on the control board. It would make troubleshooting a heck of a lot easier actually knowing the signal flow of the board.

It appears the problem is something else. I tested for 7.5V to be present at the 7805 and it is not. It is not present at any of the three that are on the board (they look the same).

At this point I believe it to be a lost cause, as there is really no way what-so-ever to trace the signal flow on this board. Cannot tell for the life of me which item comes next and so on after the point of entry for the 7.5V

And further more I don't see anything blown, nor is there the typical smell of burnt electronics present. So with that.....DAMN IT. Just gonna have to get another.

^radio shack has them, but you might want to use mouser or digikey to get one closer in size to the one on the psone board because all radio shack has is TO-220s....

If I remember right there is a small smt fuse near where the 7.5V enters the lcd controller board. You may want to try and find that and jump it or replace it.
