Old Snes Model

I have the old snes model, I see pinouts for the new one. I have the one with the huge sound adapter plugged in to the snes. Now I removed the casing and I'm trying to hook up a 3 port switch - off,battery and dc plug. my question is where do i solder stuff (if that is what I have to do). I have the red and black cable which was connected to the switch, however I cut the cables and the end and removed the switch. Aslo I removed the back plate except for the right side, the side with the dc jack. I can't remove it so its there but I cut around it. Now my question is what do I do next? How do I get power to it? I still don't know how to get the lcd screen to play the snes but im not worried about that for now. Now I just wanna power it.

lol i noticed my avatar was massive. i expected the site to make the avatar smaller, to shrink it to the normal size. there we go now

here is the power connectors (the wires on the left), the one with the black tape wrapped around it at the top of the picture is the negative and the other is the positive.

you need these two wires (the ones on the right in the other picture) to go to a switch and you are set!

thank you, could it be possible to zoom out a bit? so i get a bigger view of hte whole thing?

also what kind of power supplies are you using? like what kind of battery packs.

EDIT: How did you get the power supply off? I can't seem to remove it.

desoldering iron and rc car batteries

Alright I'll get a desolering iron and remove the things in back, are there any guides or tips on how to do this? i dont wanna screw anything up

also i have battery packs, should i stick with battery packs or get those rc car batteries?

EDIT: Okay I think I'm just gonna start asking simple questions, because I really don't know what I'm doing and I should stop pretending like I know what I'm doing.

Alright the snes has this little black thing sticking out and two wires, one red and one black. There was a switch attached to it. I cut the switch off. Do I need to desolder this little black thing (if I do, then what) or do I just wire the battery pack or whatever I'm using right to the two wires?

desolder the white plastic thing that the black thing plugs into and attach your switch leads to the two holes that the white plastic board mounted thing was soldered into

i get you, except I don't know what my switch leads are.

Basically heres what I have for power, tell me what I need to get or change.

I have 2 12 v(8 AA) packs. With 9v battery snap connectors.
I'm going to pick up those rc battery packs and the connectors. Because you guys recommend the rc car battery instead of AA.

you wire the two holes where the white plastic thing was to your switch. the leads are just wires. just wire those two holes to your on/off switch.

if you can look for 6 AA it produces less heat

3 way switch?

so from my understanding this is what I have to do. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have the 3 way switch, The middle connector i solder a wire to it, then i solder the end of the wire to the snes board where the white thingy is. then i solder another cable to the snes board and i split the cable and one goes to the dc jack and one to the rc battery.

is that correct? I just want to power the snes for now, afterwards I'm going to work with the lcd screen.
