help

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

I can't get my ps1 lcd to turn on it starts up and flashes white for a sec then it goes blank. i have a wire from the + battary 5 AA 7.5v to pin 1 and the - to pin 2 I also soldered a wire from pin 12 to the 5v leg of the 7805 like it is in PS1 pin out and a wire from the nes ground to GND2 and I get nothing. When I hook it to my ps1 it works fine so it not my lcd.

I have 5AA the + of the battary is going to the uints power on swith the - is going to the middle of my 7805 the other wire on the power swith is going to the unregulated input. On the +5v leg I have a wire going to the +5v hole on the nes. I have a wire from the middle of the 7805 to the ground on the nes. the RF MOD is removed

Are the AAs alkaline? If they are dont use them the PSOne sceen draws close to an amp an hour, alkaline cant handle a heavy draw. Heres how to menidy that go to your nearest RadioShack and buy pack or two of rechagable AAs with a charger. Through 6 (equaling 7.2 volts) of those into your battery holders. That should fix your problem.

ditch those crappy alks! and replace it with http://www.ripvan100.com/products_sanyo2500mah.htm those, i think alks are something like 600mah (i think) so this way you will be getting over 4X as much power!
